What is a Green Tea Shot?
The Jameson green tea shooter isn't going to help you curve heart disease, it has no actual tea.

It's a very 'summer' cocktail. A green tea shot tastes tangy and sweet with a fruity flavor and a hint of fizz. It's a sweet shot and great cocktail if you add some extra lemon-lime soda.
Equipment Needed
Bartending Jigger - A must have when making cocktails, it has al lthe measurements on it for you.
Cocktail Shaker - you can actually taste the difference when the drink is shaken.
Shot Glasses - I actually used these adorable 5 ounce snifters for my photos! Love them.
Ingredients
Full ingredients, measurements, and instructions are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Peach schnapps. This is a peach liqueur that you can find in any liquor store. It has a strong peachy flavor that is also quite sweet.
Whiskey - for a green tea shot, you usually use Jameson Irish Whiskey. If you don't have it, use your favorite brand!
Sweet and Sour mix. This is a mix of lemon and lime juice (the sour flavor) and simple syrup with a yellow and greenish color. You'll be able to find it in most grocery stores or your local liquor store.
Lemon lime soda. A splash of sprite gives us a little sweet fizziness that I really enjoy in this drink.
How to Make a Green Tea Shot
For this simple whiskey shot, add ice cubes in a cocktail shaker, add the peach schnapps, whiskey, and sweet and sour mix. Shake well and then pour into shot glasses.

Then top with the bubbly lemon lime soda. Enjoy with a lime garnish!
Variations and Pro Tips
White Tea Shot Recipe- if you're not a fan of whiskey, why not try the white tea shot made with vodka instead? It's simple: swap the whiskey with an equal amount of vodka. The flavor is even sweeter than the green tea shot version!
Don't have a cocktail shaker? A mason jar with a lid works just fine!
If you're not into a fizzy cocktail, trade the lemon lime soda for lemonade or lime juice!
Frequently Asked Questions
While this cocktail has no actual green tea in it, the bright green color gives the impression that you are sipping a cup of green tea.
You can use whatever whiskey you like, American whiskey works just fine.
If you're in a pinch, lemonade or limeade works instead!
