If you or your kids are Harry Potter fans, this is the drink for you!
I saw plenty of recipes around the internet where the polyjuice potion is cute and vibrant green or a spooky deep red. I could've just stayed the path, but did I?
No. As a Potterhead, I wanted the real stuff from the series. I wanted to bring y'all the real-deal polyjuice potion, from the wizarding world to your Harry Potter-themed party. It needed to taste great and look well...this is my first 'gross out' Halloween recipe.

My polyjuice potion is spot on, so it's perfect for all the muggles and potterheads at your halloween party this year.
Harry Potter Kid-Friendly Polyjuice Potion Recipe Notes
This is a great magical potion that only takes three ingredients that you can easily find at the grocery store, versus the powdered horn of a bicorn, lacewing flies, boomslang skin, and leeches Hermione had to go procure.
I wanted to make this a Halloween sherbet party punch, just because sherbet punches get all nice and frothy and I was really wanted that foam to signify the muddiness and 'grossness' of the polyjuice potion.

Next was choosing the right color sherbet, because lime sherbet and rainbow sherbet work but they wouldn't make a gross color. My answer was Baskin Robbins' Wild N Reckless sherbet (not sponsored!) -- a mix of blue, pink, purple, and green colors (and blue raspberry, green apple, and fruit punch flavors) that totally clash with the yellow from the pineapple and orange juices.
The result is catastrophic aesthetic-wise but absolutely delicious! It grossed my husband out but my son loved it. Exactly what I wanted, hahahahaha!
What even is Polyjuice Potion?
Polyjuice potion is a difficult-to-brew potion used in the Harry Potter series to allow the drinker to take the physical form of anyone they want to impersonate. It lasts for about 10 hours if brewed correctly, but it's nearly impossible to make perfectly.
Polyjuice potion basically looks like thick, frothy mud until you put the body part of who you want to impersonate. It then turns into the 'essence' of the imitated person.
And in The Chamber of Secrets, they were Crabbe and Goyle. So it was gross looking...and I needed to make mine gross and fun, yet delicious to drink.

It's first seen in The Chamber of Secrets with Hermione accidentally turning into a cat, then again in The Goblet of Fire with Barty Crouch Jr. pretending to be Mad Eye Moody for almost the entire school year.
In The Order of the Phoenix, it's secretly stolen by Draco Malfoy to use on Crabbe and Goyle, then again seen in The Deathly Hallows where Ron, Harry, and Hermione impersonate Death Eaters.
