Entice Snow White and every other guest at your next halloween party with this spooky poisoned apple cocktail! Bubbling with spooky halloween spirit and vodka, this easy cocktail won't lull anyone into a deep sleep.
My beloved month of October is coming to an end, y'all! Have you been enjoying all my themed cocktails these last few weeks? I have been loving bringing them to you!
To gently end the 2022 halloween season, I have a beautiful drink: a the poison apple halloween cocktail.
Can you tell I love using dry ice in my spooky cocktails? I totally do.

Dry ice is one of my favorite fancy garnishes, it just takes a festive halloween cocktail to the next level for me.
I have instructions on how to make this cocktail just for a couple of people and for a small crowd so everyone can have a sip of the Evil Queen's sleeping draught--I mean our delicious innocuous autumn-flavored cocktail.

Equipment
Cocktail Shaker - this beautiful drink is shaken, not stirred. 😉
Chips of Dry Ice - You can buy a big block or chunk of dry ice at your local big box store or grocery store, just give them a call to confirm they have it! It gives the perfect witchy twist to any cocktail.
WARNING: Dry ice can hurt you if you use in improperly! Do not touch it directly, always use tongs to move it from one place to the next. It tends to freeze to the bottom of your drinking glass so you won't swallow it and bubbles away within minutes in your glass.
Ingredients
Full ingredients, measurements, and printable instructions are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Apple Cider - In a pinch, you could sub apple juice if you can't find apple cider.
Cranberry Juice Cocktail - tart, sweet, and gives us that beautiful red color. Do not mistake true cranberry juice for cranberry juice cocktail, it's a very sour and medicinal experience.
Grenadine - optional, but it really boosts the red.
Caramel Vodka - I love this for that apple pie flavor it makes mixed with the apple cider.

Variations and Substitutions
Change the alcohol - apple vodka, regular vodka, spiced rum, it's all delicious in here.
Make it extra magical - edible gold luster dust can be found online easily and it adds a beautiful mysterious swirl to your poison apple cocktails.
Change the cranberry juice - I often change or even add pomegranate juice to the cocktail! It can deepen the red color even more, so keep that in mind.
Change the garnish - if you're scared of the dry ice, garnish with fresh apple slices, edible glitter, and cinnamon sticks. It'll still be very beautiful and fall-esque.
Tips to Make-Ahead for a Crowd
To make this into a party punch for a crowd mix a gallon of apple cider, 32 ounces of cranberry juice, and 2 cups of vodka into a large punch bowl or a food-safe cauldron. You can make this up to 2 days ahead and keep covered in the fridge.
When ready to serve, carefully use tongs to place the dry ice chips into the bottom of the punch bowl and serve.
