Brazilian Limeade is a creamy, refreshing addition to Taco Tuesday with only 4 simple ingredients!

It's springtime, y'all.
Breakout the windbreakers and Zyrtec, here comes the light and refreshing recipes (and pollen!). First up, limonada suica, or Swiss lemonade. Don't ask me why it's called that, it's really Brazilian limeade, and it's really simple and easy to make with just three ingredients: limes or lemons, sweetened condensed milk, and good ole water.
We've had this at those Brazilian gaucho steakhouses. You know, the ones that have the men running around with the cowboy pants, the giant knives, and the big hunks of meat asking if you want some slices of sirloin. If you've never been, you totally need to go. The chain Chima is our favorite.

I've seen plenty of recipes where they ask you to blend up the limes and then warn you about how bitter your drink will be if you let it sit too long, like it's some ticking time bomb of bitterness sitting on your dinner table.
Honestly, you can bypass that by just juicing and zesting your limes, because the pith, or that white part under the green skin of the limes, is what makes the drink bitter. That's why my recipe is a lot easier to make and is a serious favorite when we set down for Taco Tuesday with Cuban black beans, Mexican carne asada, and Chipotle's cilantro lime rice...
because 'Murica. We mix everything together. And it's delicious.
Fresh limes are needed here, but lemons are completely fine. In fact in both Spanish and Portuguese, there's only one word for both lemon and limes: limon and limao.

The sweetened condensed milk is a must, it just isn't brazilian limeade without it. Use the leftover sweetened condensed milk in Thai iced coffee, boba milk tea, or to make another pitcher of brazilian limeade, because the first pitcher will be long gone.
Another delicious idea that we love to do is replace some of the water with coconut milk. It's so creamy and refreshing, and a great summer time treat. Ooh, this gives me an idea to make popsicles with this for the summer...
