Blueberry Vodka Lemonade
A refreshing summer cocktail made with vibrant homemade blueberry syrup, fresh lemonade, and smooth vodka. For the Blueberry Syrup:
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
For the Cocktail:
- 1½ oz vodka use your favorite brand; swap for club soda if making a mocktail
- 1½ oz blueberry syrup
- 5 oz lemonade homemade or store-bought
- Ice
- Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish
Make the blueberry syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, and water. Simmer over medium heat for 8–10 minutes, until the berries burst and the syrup turns deep purple and glossy. Strain through a fine mesh sieve and let cool completely.

Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve and let cool completely.
Make the Cocktail
Fill a cocktail shaker or glass with ice.
Add the vodka, blueberry syrup, and lemonade.
1½ oz vodka, 1½ oz blueberry syrup, 5 oz lemonade
Shake or stir until chilled and combined.
Strain (if shaken) into a glass over fresh ice.
Ice
Garnish with a lemon slice and sprig of mint.

Mocktail Instructions
Instead of vodka, swap in lemon lime soda or club soda, or use a non-alcoholic vodka instead.
Blueberry Vodka Lemonade Pitcher (Serves 8)
For the Blueberry Syrup:
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup water
For the Lemonade:
- 1.5 cups fresh lemon juice (from about 7–8 lemons)
- 4 cups cold water
- ¾ cup granulated sugar, or to taste
For the Pitcher:
- 1.5 cups vodka
- 1.5 cups blueberry syrup
- 5 cups lemonade
- Ice
- Lemon slices and fresh mint, for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, and water. Simmer over medium heat for 8–10 minutes, until the berries burst and the syrup turns deep purple. Strain and let cool.
- Stir together the lemon juice, water, and sugar until fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness, if needed.
- In a large pitcher, combine 2 cups vodka, 1 cup blueberry syrup, and 3 cups lemonade. Stir well and chill until ready to serve.
- Pour over ice and garnish each glass with lemon slices and fresh mint.
