Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 2 cups peach or apricot nectar
  • 1 15 oz can pumpkin puree
  • cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon allspice berries
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions

  • Write instructions In a large pot over medium heat, pour in all the ingredients except the vanilla and let come to a lively simmer.
  • Bring the temperature down to medium-low and let gently simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Pour the pumpkin juice carefully through a fine mesh sieve into a heat-safe large pitcher.
  • Let chill in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving or serve hot .with cinnamon stick garnish.

Notes

DO NOT USE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR. They are not the same!
Keep the pumpkin juice in a pitcher with a lid in the fridge for up to 5 days. Give it a stir, the pumpkin and spices will settle to the bottom.
