Not quite Dole Whip, but still creamy, fruity, and refreshing, it’s a Pineapple Whip FAIL!
I’ve told you I’m on food adventures, and sometimes when you go on food adventures, things don’t go as planned. But I’m still going to share my escapades with you.
I was trying to make Dole Whip, you know, the stuff from Disney World. I saw a video on it on Facebook and decided that it looked so easy, I had to make it. Well, it came out more like frozen pineapple smoothie, than dole whip. It was thick, it was delicious, but melted instantly into a smoothie-ish consistency and just wasn’t the Dole Whip we know and love.
I figured I would share this fail, since it was still really tasty and refreshing in this hot Georgia heat. The coconut flavor was there, the pineapple was really there, maybe this could be the beginnings of a wonderful pina colada?
Now where did I put that good rum…
- 4 cups frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 can, 13.5 oz coconut milk
- In a blender, blend the ingredients until very smooth.
- You will have to stop your blender and stir the mixture with a spoon to loosen it up, otherwise you might burn out your blender.
- Serve in a tall glass.
